Our aim is to set new standards for dog boarding kennels by creating a dog centric environment staffed by a dedicated and caring team to ensure that the health, wellbeing and welfare of our canine guests come first and foremost.
We are located 8 miles west of Aberdeen City and less than 2 miles from the Western Peripheral Route. Many of our returning customers specifically state that it is the combination of the idyllic rural setting and the convenient location that make our facility so unique.

Alan and Jeanette Grant are a husband and wife team and the business was born out of a genuine concern over the lack of quality dog boarding facilities in the area and their unwillingness to put their own pets in the out-dated kennel facilities that were on offer. Traditional kennels all too often fall short of what today's owners want for their dogs and indeed what the dogs need in order to keep them healthy, content and stimulated when settling in to new surroundings.
Coalford Canine Retreat is a facility where dogs can relax, exercise and play in a safe and secure environment. In short, all the guests can enjoy doing what dogs do!
Set in 3 acres of lush Aberdeenshire countryside Coalford Canine Retreat offers a totally self contained facility combining the ultimate in dog boarding accommodation with extensive exercise amenities to provide a stress free and enriching environment. With acres of grounds for walks, play and exercise, all our guests are kept happy and stimulated, whether they walk and play alone, in family groups, or in a pack of new friends.
We cater for dogs of all abilities from the highly energetic who have to be active through to those who just love a gentle stroll through the woods.
